DEMANDS

  1. Institute a universal definition of ‘racism’  in the Code of Conduct and the bounds of discrimination and harassment.

  2. Reform specialty centers to make them more accessible to low-income students, students of color, and students from the East End.

  3. Make sure the code of conduct dress code is representative and enforced regardless of race or background.

  4. Enable dual enrollment to be free/more accessible at more than just specialty centers.

  5. Establish Partnerships between Elementary and Middle Schools across the county in order to ensure equal extracurricular opportunities.

  6. Equal funding between all genders when it comes to sports.

  7. Ensure that HCPS Schools, as closely as possible, show the same diversity within the Henrico student profile, to schools in the new redistricting plan; and ensuring the all HCPS schools have the same quality of education whether in the Eastern or Western part of the county. Implement a citizen review board to oversee these changes.

  8. Diversify the history curriculum.
